Blur Revisit Their Britpop Career With New Documentary ‘At the end’
The band Blur, one of the biggest names in the genre britpop we 90’sjust released his new documentary At the endwhich has been made available in more than 350 cinema to the UK and so on Ireland this week.
In the promotional video published on Youtubethe iconic British band presents their big hit Parklife next to Phil Danielswhich discusses the song’s enduring appeal and its place in popular culture UK.
Blur: Until the end will be followed by the opening footage of the band’s unique and special performance of their acclaimed album The Ballad of Darrenthat has become number 1 to the UKThe performance was recorded at Eventim Apollo LondonIn Hammersmithlast summer.
The documentary revisits the career of Bluras well as the band’s more recent history, captured during the period in which they staged a surprise comeback with their first album in eight yearstitled The Ballad of Darren.
The film follows four friends – and bandmates over the span of three decades – Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James AND Dave Rowntree when they reunited in early 2023 to record new music before their first sold-out shows Wembley StadiumIn London.

“We’ve barely communicated for the last 10 years… I mean, even when we split up, it didn’t take us long to make a record, but the wonderful thing is that as soon as the four of us get in a room together, it’s exactly like when we were 19…”relationships Alex Giacomo.
Already Graham Coxon adds: “Between them… In the ’90s it was a very intense time. On the same level as a relationship, or marriages and things like that. I think it’s fair to say that the time apart was taken up with other friendships and just catching up or doing other things.”
Damon Albarnsinger of Blur and who is also the creative mind behind the project Gorillaz since 1998, says he and his bandmates have “very lucky to be able to spend time together”: “I don’t think any of us thought about making another record, especially a record like this. I guess that’s why I wanted to try to make it as good as possible.”
And he concluded: “We all have incredibly involved and complicated lives and we’re so lucky to be able to spend this time together, just the four of us. And that’s the beauty of it…”
