Ed Sheeran is about to make his long-awaited debut at Rock in Rio, appearing as one of the festival’s main attractions. The British singer, who recently wowed audiences at the Portuguese edition of the event, will close the evening on Thursday, September 19 in Brazil. The day will also feature performances by other big names such as Charlie Puth, Joss Stone, John AND Glory Groove.
The show Ed Sheeran is part of his current tour, the +-=÷x Tour, also known as The Mathematics Tour. The performance promises to include some of the singer’s biggest hits, ensuring a memorable night for fans.
The probable lineup includes hits like: Castle on the Hill, Chills, The A Team, Give Me Love, Take It Back / Superstition / Ain’t No Sunshine, Eyes Closed, Don’t / No Diggity, Thinking Out Loud, Photograph, Sing, Love Yourself (written by Ed Sheeran to Justin Bieber), Perfect, Bloodstream, You Need Me, I Don’t Need You (extended version), Shape of You AND Bad habits.
Rock in Rio 2024, which celebrates its 40th edition, will take place on September 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21 and 22, in Cidade do Rock, west of Rio de Janeiro. Also Ed SheeranOther headliners include Travis Scott, Katy Perry, Shawn Mendes, Imagine Dragons AND avenged sevenfold.
Tickets for September 13, 14, 20 and 22 are already sold out, but there are still tickets available for the 15, 19 and 21. Sales are held exclusively on the Ticketmaster platform, with prices ranging from R$ 397.50 (half price) to R$ 795 (full price). Customers of the Itaú, Credicard and Iti credit cards are entitled to a 15% discount.
Ed Sheeran Announces Final Shows of 2025 European Tour
Ed Sheeran has announced the final dates of its Mathematics Tour in Europe, after three years of performances. The final series of shows will begin on May 3, 2025 at the Civitas Metropolitano in Madrid and will include stops in cities such as Rome, Hamburg, Oslo, Zurich, Antwerp, Stockholm and Copenhagen, concluding on September 9 with a show in Düsseldorf, Germany.
In a post on Instagram, the singer revealed: “In 2025, the Mathematics Tour comes to an end! We will reach most of the places we have not been yet”. He also said that more dates will be announced later, concluding with a cryptic message: “It was time to stop, but then we can press play.”
It is worth remembering Ed Sheeran will perform at Rock in Rio on September 19, marking their only show in Brazil during this tour.
