During her performances in London, the singer welcomed the families of children who had suffered knife attacks
Singer Taylor Swift took advantage of her London tour to meet with the families and victims of the knife attack in Southport, UK. The information was shared on Monday (19/8) by Variety.
The brutal attack took place in late July, when an attacker broke into a yoga and dance studio themed after the artist, organized for girls aged 6 to 11. The attacker stabbed eight children and two adults, six of whom were in critical condition. At least three girls did not survive their injuries. The case sparked a wave of protests in the United Kingdom, with extremist crowds blaming immigrants and vandalizing the country. The perpetrator, who was arrested red-handed, was born in the United Kingdom, but is of Rwandan origin.
On TikTok, the mother of the two victims, Sami Foster, shared some photos taken during a backstage visit to a concert in England, where Taylor Swift appears alongside her daughters Hope and Autumn. The meeting took place at Wembley Stadium, where the artist concludes her performances in Europe.
“The biggest thank you to Taylor Swift and her mother for making it the most magical night possible for all of us. Thank you for bringing pure happiness to Hope and Autumn last night and always,” Sami wrote. In addition to them, the documents also included other family members of the girls.
The singer has not openly commented on the meetings, nor revealed how many families she hosted during her stay in London. The publication notes that Sami Foster’s relatives were not the only ones behind the scenes.
