The singer reveals his craving for Brazilian dishes in the exclusive interview with “Fantástico”, which will air on Globo on Sunday
Mariah Carey expressed her excitement at the prospect of returning to Brazil for two shows, highlighting her expectations for both the reunion with her fans and the local cuisine. “I want to eat cheese bread, beans and rice,” the singer revealed during an exclusive interview with “Fantástico,” straight from Las Vegas.
Shows in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro
The singer confirmed that she will perform in São Paulo, at Allianz Parque, on September 20, and on the last day of Rock in Rio, on September 22, in Rio de Janeiro. In addition to confessing her gastronomic desires, Mariah said that she is preparing a special repertoire for the shows, with songs that are especially appreciated by Brazilian fans. Among them will be “I Want to Know What Love Is,” a version of the hit by the band Foreigner, which gained popularity in Brazil when it was the theme of the soap opera “Viver a Vida,” on TV Globo.
The full interview conducted by journalist Ana Carolina Raimundi will be broadcast on Sunday, August 25, during the screening of “Fantástico”.
Enthusiasm on social media
This isn’t the first time Mariah has shown excitement about returning to Brazil. In March, when she was announced as one of the main attractions at Rock in Rio, she posted on her social media: “Brazil, I’m coming! I’m so excited to finally return to Brazil and headline the legendary Rock in Rio.” festival on the Sunset Stage on September 22nd. See you there!!”
It is worth remembering that the singer’s last visit to Brazil was 14 years ago, which tends to enhance her new performances.
