Whibleytherefore, needed to clarify that his announcement is not related to either of the two bands:

I feel the need to put an end to some recent rumors. It has come to my attention that many people believe that I will be joining a band in a reunion. I just want to say that, despite popular belief, I will not be joining the band. Oasis… Or to the Linkin Park. Or any other band, for that matter.
I have my own ‘Tour and Book’ announcement, which I will now move to later in the week, after our US tour.
I look forward to seeing whatever these two amazing bands do in the future.
