Even though his artistic career hasn’t been as active lately, Rihanna remains one of the most celebrated singers in world pop. One of her biggest admirers is Charli XCXan Englishwoman who is having a great time with her acclaimed album Brat.
Recently, the British singer took part in a game where you have to choose one person or another. In her case, the theme was: which pop singer is better.
Naturally, Rihanna prevailed among the various names mentioned. However, only one artist managed to surpass the one responsible for hits like “Umbrella”, “Only Girl (In the World)” and “Diamonds”.
Right off the bat, Charli XCX had to choose between Riri and the also popular Lady Gaga. The artist made it clear that it would not be easy to choose just one name.
I’m scared about all of this.”
The Englishwoman opted for the Barbados-born singer. Several other names were mentioned, such as Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Lord, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Lily Allen, Olivia Rodrigo, Camila Cabello and Harry Styles.
Despite having made some reservations and emphasizing her admiration for some of those mentioned, Rihanna continued to be Charli’s chosen one in all the “duels”. At one point, she admitted to being, in fact, a big fan of her colleague:
I’m Rihanna’s biggest fan ever.”
The change of opinion
Charli XCX only changed her mind when the name Sky Ferreira was mentioned and chose to choose the singer with Brazilian roots. In his justification, he said the following:
I mean, it’s really hard, that one wasn’t very easy. As you know, I love Rihanna, but I really love Sky, she’s kind of unique.”

Born in the United States to a Brazilian father and an American mother, Sky Tonia Ferreira began her career in 2009. The pop artist was discovered on the social network MySpace after uploading several videos in which she sang songs she had written.
His first EP, called As Ifwas released in 2011. Since then, Sky Ferreira has released one studio album, Night Time, My Time(2013) and two more EPs.
