“In September last year, I was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of lymphoma. I ignored the symptoms for a few months, but I finally had a CT scan and after surgery, the biopsy results were devastating,” he continued. “I have now completed 11 months of treatment with some of the best specialists in the world and with second opinions and advice from the teams who developed the drugs that I was given.”

“I have had the benefit of the latest science fiction immunotherapy and some drugs first used 100 years ago. The last phase of treatment was radiotherapy, which was also one of the first treatments developed for cancer. I am fine, and the prognosis is incredible, the mad axe murderer came knocking, and we didn’t answer,” he said.

So all I have to say is: GO GET A TEST […] Finally, if you know someone who is sick or suffering, talk to them, every word helps, believe me, I know. I would also like to thank my rock star doctors, all of them, all the nurses and technicians, my friends, family and my partner Mimi. Sometimes it is harder to be on the other side of this…

In 2023, O’Donnell was left out of the Latin American tour of The Cure. At the time, the group said the decision was made due to “health concerns.” The band stated, “We are sure you will join us in wishing him a speedy recovery.”
