The traditional event will be held at the Allianz Parque stadium, in Sao Paulo
TV Globo has scheduled the taping of the Christmas special with Roberto Carlos for November 27, at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo. This year, the King’s traditional event will be open to the general public, who will be able to purchase tickets starting next week.
The event promises to be a great show with several emotional moments for the most passionate fans, who will also be moved by the singer’s classics. It is worth mentioning that the special usually hosts other big names in Brazilian music and entertainment.
Will it be the last?
Roberto Carlos’ partnership with the Marinhos station turns 50 in December, but the singer’s contract expires in March 2025. The future of the Christmas special, which spans generations on Brazilian screens, is unclear.
The musical attraction premiered on December 25, 1974, and has since become an end-of-year tradition on Globo. Over the years, the program has only been cancelled in two exceptional moments: in 1999, the year of the death of the King’s wife (Maria Rita), and in 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
