On September 3, 2022, the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert took place at Wembley Stadium in London, bringing together music stars to pay tribute to the Foo Fighters drummer, who passed away in March of the same year. The show was broadcast live and featured special appearances by Paul McCartney, Brian May, Travis Barker, Liam Gallagheramong others, in a six-hour presentation.
Dave Grohlfrom Foo Fighters, kicked off the event with a speech about Taylor Hawkins’ legacy.

Among the most memorable moments of the tribute, Paul McCartney went on stage to play Oh! Darling and Helter Skelterwhile Taylor’s son, Oliver Shane Hawkinsplayed drums in the performance of My Hero. The event also had the participation of names such as Nile Rodgers, Josh Hommeand Dave Grohl’s daughter, Violetwho joined his father to play Last Goodbyeby Jeff Buckley.
Elton John was not present at the show but sent a video message:
He played on my last album, which I was very moved by and honored by. So tonight is about remembering him, honoring him, and never forgetting him.”
The tribute, which celebrated Hawkins’ life and career, also raised funds for charities Music Support and MusiCareschosen by the musician’s family.
