Will Smith had some fun, but his 18-minute show at Rock in Rio didn’t wow the crowd

The actor and rapper was the last attraction announced at the festival, he gave a short show, but full of cordiality

The friendly actor Will Smith performed – and gave it his all – on the Sunset Stage on the night of this Thursday, the 19th of Rock in Rio 2024. It took exactly 18 minutes on the scene. Nothing more.

She wears a red outfit that inevitably recalls the series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Airhis most famous project, Smith, despite also being a rapper, seemed to have little to show.

Sung The Man in Black AND Work of art, his two best-known songs. With the Brazilian flag flying high, Madalegna, a pair of Carlinhos Brown and Sérgio Mendes, sang in Portuguese.

At every moment, fireworks exploded on the stage. It elicited a few screams from the audience.

But Smith seemed to be enjoying himself. He spoke in Portuguese and inserted the word Rio into his flowin yet another declaration of love for the city.

Maybe that’s what Smith came to Rock in Rio for: to have fun. If so, it was worth it.
