Trap show delayed by more than an hour at Rock in Rio and the audience whistles in anticipation

The presentation opens the Palco Mundo program in the premiere of ‘Brazil Day’, this Saturday 21st

If the program for Saturday 21st of Rock in Rio 2024 had gone as planned, the show “Para sem Trap” would have already ended around 4:40 p.m. However, it was precisely at this moment that the artists announced by the festival entered the scene.

Outside of the timing of the Smoke Squad show, a new feature that opens the Mundo stage every day on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the event, a person from the production took the microphone and explained the unexpected event as a “technical problem”. The justification came after the audience booed and demanded the show to begin during a wait of more than an hour.

All this happened right after the first edition of the unprecedented ‘Brazil Day’, with a program dedicated only to Brazilian artists. After the gates opened at 2:00 p.m., trap fans had already gathered in the space near the railing of the Mundo stage to see the idols up close. The wait, standing, lasted longer than expected.

The show, which was supposed to start at 3:30 p.m., did not take place until more than an hour later, at 4:40 p.m. The delay ended with the timing of the smoke squadron show, which took place much earlier, around 3.20 pm.

During the wait, a chorus of boos was heard several times. Singers Filipe Ret, MC Cabelinho, Kayblack, Matuê, Orochi, MC Ryan SP and Veigh took the stage without much visual effect at 16:40. However, the technical problems continued.

Kayblack sang the first song of his repertoire with difficulty, but the artists preferred not to continue the performance after the end of the song. “We are waiting for them to organize themselves to return to the stage,” warned Matuê, complaining about the production.

About two minutes later, the trappers reappeared on the scene, but they were still visibly annoyed by the problems on stage. “That sucks,” MC Cabelinho complained during one of the many sonic failures.
