Legendary Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and his team have issued statements explaining the cancellation of shows in Philadelphia and New York.
Iconic drummer of the Beatlesan English rock band also formed by Paul McCartney, John Lennon and George Harrison, Ringo Starr had to cancel shows with All Starr Band due to health problems.
Currently suffering from the flu, the 84-year-old artist was advised by doctors to take a break from the stage. In a post made on Instagram last Wednesday, the 25th, the team of Starr explained what happened and regretted the cancellation of the live performances.
“Today, Ringo Starr and All Starr Band have announced that they will unfortunately have to cancel their last two shows, including tonight’s performance at TD Pavilionno The Mannin Philadelphia, and tomorrow, in Radio City Music Hallin New York, due to illness,” the statement said. “Ringo became constipated and, after consulting a doctor, was advised to cancel these remaining two shows and rest.”
