Halsey is recovering at home after being hospitalized for several days after suffering a seizure. The singer updated fans on her health on social media after they became curious about a video she shared of herself and her fiancé Avan Jogia in a hospital room earlier this week.

“I’m home from the hospital now after a few days, so a win is a win,” she wrote on X in response to a fan who asked for a general update on how she was feeling. Another asked if the hospital visit was related to her chronic illnesses, which include lupus and a rare type of T-cell disorder she was diagnosed with in 2022. “I had a seizure,” Halsey replied. “Very scary. Would not recommend.”

Underneath the video the 29-year-old artist shared on Instagram, she wrote: “Happy belated Bisexual Visibility Day. This year I’m celebrating by dying with a man by my side (for legal reasons, this is a joke).”

The last time Halsey shared a health update along with pictures from the hospital, it was accompanied by the release of “The End”the first song to be released from his upcoming fifth studio album, The Great Impersonatorwhich will be released on October 25. “Long story short, I’m lucky to be alive,” she wrote in the caption of a carousel of images following her medical journey. “Long story, I wrote an album.”

Halsey has been open about her health throughout her career, opening up about her experience being diagnosed with endometriosis in 2016 after suffering a miscarriage. She also underwent surgery to treat the condition earlier this year. But the revelation of her latest dual diagnosis came as a surprise.

“I realize everyone is catching up on news that I’ve been holding back for a long time and wasn’t sure how much I wanted to share. You’ve all been so kind, so I wanted to share a little more,” Halsey shared on Instagram in June. “In 2022, I was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE and then with a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. Both are currently being controlled or in remission; and both I will likely have for the rest of my life.”
