Foo Fighters cancel festival show after Dave Grohl’s family statement

The cancellation comes just two weeks after the singer revealed that he had fathered a child outside of his marriage.

You Foo Fighters announced that they will no longer perform at the Soundside Music Festivalan event that will take place in Connecticuton Saturday, September 28th. The band was scheduled to be one of the main attractions, alongside Noah Kahanbut announced the cancellation on its official Instagram account.

Foo Fighters will no longer perform this weekend at the Soundside Music Festival. Please check the festival website for more information.

Despite the announcement, the group did not disclose a specific reason for the decision.

The cancellation comes just two weeks after the vocalist Dave Grohl reveal, in an Instagram post, that he became the father of a child outside of his marriage. “I intend to be a loving and present father to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to earn back their trust and forgiveness,” wrote Grohl on September 10th. He also asked for understanding in relation to the children involved, as the family remains together at this time.

The last public presentation of the Foo Fighters It was on August 18th, at T-Mobile Parkin Seattle. Since then, the group has only played one private show on September 6th.

THE Soundside Music Festival has not yet confirmed whether another band will replace the Foo Fighters in the lineup. In addition to Noah Kahanthe event features attractions such as Goo Goo Dolls, Fleet Foxes and Boyz II Men on Saturday.
