Announced by surprise, the news, which accompanies the release of the sequel to the 2019 hit, is now available on audio platforms
Lady Gaga released, this Friday, September 27th, the album Harlequininspired by Joker: Delirium for Twothe long-awaited sequel to the 2019 hit film, in which the artist plays the villain Harley Quinn.
Gaga announced the album, which has thirteen songs, last Tuesday, September 24th, on its social networks. Among the songs, there are “The Joker”reinterpretation of the song from the British musical The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowdreleased in the 1960s.
The song was also recorded by the Brazilian pianist and arranger Sergio Mendeswho passed away at the beginning of the month, on the album Herb Alpert presents Sergio Mendes & Brasil ’66, 1966. Check out the tracklist complete and listen Harlequin below:
On Joker: Delirium for Two
In Joker: Delirium for Twowhich will be a musical, we must follow the birth of the explosive relationship between Arthur Fleckwho at the end of the first film assumed the identity of Joker and began terrorizing the city of Gotham, and its psychiatrist, Harley Quinnwho ends up madly in love with her patient.
In addition to Joaquin Phoenix again on the skin of Arthur Fleck/Joker, Zazie Beetz also returns in the second film as Sophie Drummondthe villain’s romantic interest in the first film. Among the new features, Lady Gaga is the main addition, but it also gains the company of Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin), Jacob Lofland (A Son), Catherine Keener (Run!), Ken Leung (Lost) and Harry Lawtey (The Pale Blue Eye).
Joker: Delirium for Two is directed by Todd Phillipswho directed the first film, based on the filmmaker’s own script together with Scott Silverwith whom he worked in Joker; and premieres on October 3rd in Brazilian cinemas. Watch the trailer:
