Fans of the film will be able to stay at The Kid’s house
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the launch of Purple Rain (1984), Airbnb will give fans of Prince the chance to stay in the famous house from the film.
The musician purchased the residence in 2015 and, since then, it has been closed to the public. Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Colemanband members The Revolutionfrom Princeare now hosts of the place.
According to the TMZthe house underwent renovation and received items of Princewho died in 2016. The singer’s clothes, for example, were included in a closet.

The property’s downstairs has purple wallpaper and a 1980s stereo loaded with songs that inspired The Kid. There is also a spa that reminds us of the “When Doves Cry” music video. It is also possible to play instruments in a lounge.
The house’s bedroom was decorated like The Kid’s and has a collection of cassette tapes. Reservations on Airbnb can be made from October 2nd until the 6th of the same month. Guests will be selected at random.
