Eric Clapton he returned to Brazil after 13 years. His last performance in Sao Paulo was at the Morumbi Stadium, in 2011. Before that, he had played at the Pacaembu Stadium, in 2001, and at the now extinct Olympia concert hall, in 1990, when he made his debut on Brazilian soil.
Now, at 79, he celebrates sixty years of career with four concerts in Brazil. The ‘God’ of the guitar has already sung in Curitiba, Rio and at Vibra São Paulo, on Saturday evening, the 28th, in a rare intimate show in front of around 7 thousand people. This Sunday, the 29th, he will showcase his talent Allianz Park in front of an audience estimated at 50 thousand fans – tickets are sold out.
The opening act will be from North America Gary Clark Jr.disciple of Clapton and known for his ability to mix elements of blues, soul and R&B in his music.
