Eminem reveals he will become a grandfather in new music video

The announcement came in the video for the song “Temporary”, which shows how the rapper’s daughter surprised him with the news

Hailie Jade, Eminem’s biological daughter, revealed that she is expecting her first child, the result of her relationship with Evan McClintock, who she has been dating since 2016. The couple made their union official in May this year. Eminem, who has always been private about his family life, surprised his fans by sharing the news in the video for his new song, “Temporary,” released this Thursday (3/10).

The song “Temporary”, a collaboration with Skylar Grey, is part of Eminem’s new album, entitled “The Death of Slim Shady”. In the video, the rapper shows personal moments with Hailie, from her childhood to the present day. Ultimately, Hailie gives her father a Detroit Lions jersey, with the word “Grandpa” printed on the back and then presents an ultrasound, revealing the arrival of Eminem’s first grandchild.

Tributes to the family

Known for his autobiographical songs, the rapper has paid tribute to Hailie in several songs throughout his career, the most famous of which is “Mockingbird,” in which he addresses his relationship with his daughter and the challenges they faced. On the new album, he also apologizes to his adopted children, Alaina, Nathan and Stevie, on the song “Somebody Save Me” for his mistakes during his time battling drug addiction in the early 2000s.
