The last time the singer was here was seven years ago, in 2018, when she performed in Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Before that, she performed in 2011 in São Paulo and at Rock in Rio.

Despite the long gap between visits to Brazil, Shakira has a long experience with performances in the country. The first visit took place in the 1990s and she packed a marathon of shows (via UOL).

Marathon, low price and Brazilian energy

Over the course of more than a year of frequent visits to Brazil between 1996 and 1997, Shakira – who was 20 years old at the time – made almost 40 presentations in cities such as Santo André, Taubaté and Mogi das Cruzes, both in the state of São Paulo.

One of the visits to the capital of São Paulo at the time took place at the extinct Olympia concert hall and the most expensive ticket cost R$50.

The Colombian also sang in Minas Gerais, with emphasis on a show in Uberaba, at the 34th Camaru Agricultural Exhibition. This performance took place in August 1997 and tickets cost just R$5.

At that time, the singer expressed her affection for the country: “I am indebted to Brazil. The public is special, very affectionate, it gives certainty and security to the artist that you might not have everywhere,” she told Folha de S. Paulo on occasion.

Many times, we are afraid of the things that could happen. Not here. People are always joking, singing and encouraging you”

Brazil 2025

The two performances on next year’s tour are scheduled for February 11th and 13th, in Rio de Janeiro (Nilton Santos Stadium) and São Paulo (Do MorumBIS Stadium), respectively. Tickets will be sold via the Ticketmaster website.

It is worth highlighting how the artist will hold a pre-sale, scheduled at 10am (Brasília time) on October 8, 2024, for fans who register on her official website.
