The singer shared a video to reassure fans: “It was just a scare”
Singer Rick Sollo, of the country duo Rick & Renner, was involved in a car accident on Wednesday afternoon (10/02) while driving on BR-282, in Santa Catarina. The singer lost control of his vehicle after being blocked by another car on a wet road and crashed into the protective wall of the motorway. Despite the scare, Rick took to social media this Thursday (3/10) to reassure fans, stating that he is fine and that only the car suffered damage.
Details of the accident
In the video published on his social media, Rick explained what happened at the time of the accident. “I lost control of my jeep due to rain on the track. Thank God, I was going up and not down, which prevented something more serious. The car hit the protective wall, but I was unharmed,” the singer said. The vehicle, however, had front end damage, but Rick assured that it is something that “happens every day.”
Reassuring fans
Rick also took advantage of the video to state that the accident was not caused by tiredness, as some speculated. “I was in Sao Paulo for meetings and was going to my country house when it happened. I didn’t come from any show,” he clarified. He also thanked everyone for their concern and stressed that he is well, reiterating his faith and gratitude.
