The artist was sued for slander and defamation for the inappropriate comment on X (formerly Twitter)
Marlon Brandon Coelho Couto Silva, better known as MC Poze do Rodo, was summoned to court after calling a follower a “cute pie.” The artist will have to appear at a hearing on October 29, at the XX Criminal Court in Rio. This was reported by the columnist Ancelmo Gois of the newspaper O Globo.
The hearing will address a criminal complaint filed by shop assistant Ana Beatriz Amaral, who sued the singer for slander and defamation after an inappropriate post on X (formerly Twitter). The case reportedly occurred in April this year, when Poze’s comment went viral among Internet users.
However, Ana Beatriz did not clarify what preceded Poze’s comment or the context of the publication in the initial petition. The sales assistant limited herself to declaring that she had become a laughing stock on and off social networks, as she was also offended by colleagues for her physical size.
