The dance track references the Thai group member BLACKPINK’s “French boyfriend.”
Singer Lisa, of the K-Pop group BLACKPINK, released this Friday (10/4) her new single SOLO, “Moonlit Floor”, which has already won a legion of fans after the artist performed it at the Global festival Citizen, New York. The new song is now available on digital platforms.
The song is danceable, but also sexy and romantic. The lyrics were inspired by Lisa’s current boyfriend, French businessman Frédéric Arnault, and the Thai singer doesn’t give up her ethereal voice in the chorus, which features an interpolation with the song “Kiss Me” (1997) , one of Sixpence’s top hits.
“The green-eyed French boy made me travel / How your skin is always soft / How your kisses always hit / How you know exactly where / The green-eyed French boy made me travel / With that accent that leaves the your lips / How does your tongue do all these tricks?” says an excerpt of the song.
