Successor to Open Source (2020), Theory of Mind has a release date scheduled for October 18, 2024 on digital platforms
Iconic Brazilian guitarist with stints in Angra and Megadeth, Kiko Loureiro prepares for the release of the sixth studio album, titled Theory of Mindcareer. Now, he commented on some details and released the official cover.
In a statement to the press, the 52-year-old artist explained how the successor to Open Source (2020) aims to explore contemporary interactions between humans and Artificial intelligence (AI). “When I started writing this album, I felt like I was more exploring new ideas than following a defined project,” he said.

“For me, music has always been a way to reveal hidden layers of thought and emotion, and this album took me into unexplored territories,” continued the guitarist. “It wasn’t just a conceptual or intellectual exercise. It was personal experiences that inspired me to create this music, experiences that transformed the way I see the world.”
It’s worth remembering how, to date, Kiko Loureiro has danced two singles from Theory of Mindwhich launches on digital platforms on October 18, 2024: “Out of Nothing” and “Mind Rise.” Additionally, he released playthroughswhich show the technique and intensity of composition, for both tracks.
