After a long wait, Samuele Rosa goes to Brazil with the new tour “Samuel Rosa Tour”. On October 18, the singer from Minas Gerais will perform on stage at the Festival Clássicos do Brasil, in Marina da Glória.
The new show features some of the songs from the new album, “Rosa”, such as the first released single “Segue o Jogo”, and will be accompanied by their own compositions, released over the last 30 years. “I want to bring into the new show the songs that I have composed over the years, many already known to the general public, now played with the signature that my new band naturally imprints. As he did in the soloists, Samuel also interprets new reinterpretations of songs recorded with others artists.
Samuele Rosa emphasizes that it is a hybrid show and, like the album, the idea is to favor the grooves, rhythms and the most swing part of the album and his career. “I can’t wait to hit the road and meet audiences from all over Brazil who are interested in my work and, of course, those fans who want to hear the songs I’ve made throughout my career. As Sting would say, it’s a show for making people feel, in that moment, in the best place in the world,” he reflects.
It is worth remembering that, since 2019, already anticipating Skank’s stop, Samuel Rosa has been playing with his band. “They are musicians with a lot of experience. Doca Rolim played with me many times; Alexandre Mourão was already part of my first band and we played together in the solo project with Lô Borges; Pelotas (Pedro Kremer) was from Cachorro Grande and I already admired his work and Marcelo Dai, a virtuoso drummer, was introduced to me by my son Juliano and, despite being young, he is already very well known in the Belo Horizonte scene, as well as having played with Liniker and other international attractions”, describes Samuel, also underlining who, thanks to this time together, are on good terms and have great chemistry. “The commitment of each musician made the work very smooth.” Three other musicians form the brass section and complete the band that accompanies Samuel on stage: Pedro Aristides (trombone), Vinícius Augusto (saxophone) and Pedro Mota (trumpet). They all took part in the recording of the album “Rosa” in January and February.
After so many years of playing regularly, instead of taking a break or a sabbatical, Samuel chose to go on the road with this same band, precisely to create the connection and chemistry he has today. Now he intends to include in this new tour, what has become his trademark: a vibrant show, full of energy and always combined with some classic ballads.
