Summary

The Supersuckers, a pioneering country punk band, returns to Sao Paulo for a classic show.

The Americans of the Supersuckers, the band that created the country punk genre praised by the late Lemmy Kilmister (Motörhead), return to Sao Paulo this Friday 18 October at the Jai Club (Rua Vergueiro, 2676 – Vila Mariana, Sao Paulo -SP). It will be a show of classics for over 25 years on the road.

The event will have as guests the Dutch speedrock bands Peter Pan Speedrock, which debuts in Brazil, and the national band The Mullet Monster Mafia, one of the strongest and most active bands in the entire South American scene with their metal-influenced surf punk and from psychobilly.

Country punk might seem like a strange label until you hear that the band that invented it in 1998 in Tucson/Ariz. (USA) has been performing it – with precision, dirt and swing – for more than three decades. A living legend of global rock n’ roll, the Supersuckers, from the USA, will bring only classics from a respected discography, also revered by Motörhead’s iconic bassist, Lemmy Kilmister, who said: “If you don’t like the Supersuckers, you don’t like them “I don’t like rock n’ roll.”

Today with Eddie Spaghetti (vocals and bass), Metal Marty Chandler (guitar and vocals) and Captain Chris Von Streicher (drums), the Supersuckers took shape in 1988 in Tucson, Arizona, but released their first album only in 1992 , The Smoke of Hell. . The album contained creative riffs based on dynamic and fun compositions.

It gained great prominence in the specialized media and led to memorable world tours with Motörhead, Ramones, Bad Religion, New York Dolls, Mudhoney, among others.

Continuous touring and straight albums filled with the essence of rock’n’roll have made the Supersuckers one of Sub Pop’s greatest successes, paving the way for their long career to this day.

The setlists of these shows will also include hits from the following albums, La Mano Cornuda, The Sacrilicious Sounds of The Supersuckers, Must’ve Been High and Evil Powers of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
