The song had become an Internet joke after the singer was investigated on charges of money laundering and criminal conspiracy
Gusttavo Lima released this Friday (18/10) a new version of his hit “Ficha Limpa”, after the original title had gone viral as a joke on social media, amid police investigations and a request for the singer’s arrest, then cancelled. The song got an MTG (montage) version, a popular style of collage and the addition of new rhythms, generally associated with funk. The new version was produced by producers Kik Prod and Maori, of Doug Hits.
Gusttavo Lima is investigated by the Civil Police of Pernambuco on charges of money laundering and criminal association, as part of Operation Integration, which also led to the arrest of the influencer Deolane Bezerra.
In an interview, Gusttavo Lima denied the accusations and said he was only the emblem of the Vai de Bet betting company, which was involved in the investigation. “It’s surreal that they link me to this project. I don’t own Vai de Bet,” the singer said.
