Paolo’s career

Paul Di’Anno is best known for recording Iron Maiden’s first albums in the 1980s, before passing the baton to Bruce Dickinson. The singer left the band after the shows were canceled due to his involvement with drugs and alcohol.

His first project after leaving was the formation of the band Di’Anno, which had a more commercial sound and whose name was reused at the beginning of the century, with a band composed of Brazilian instrumentalists. He was also a member of the bands Battlezone, Killers, Gogmagog, Warhorse and Rockfellas.

In recent years, Paul’s fans have closely followed the artist’s health problems, mobilizing a campaign to help him receive decent treatment to address lower limb problems. He remained in a wheelchair for nearly a decade. Surgeries were performed on the knees, but they had no effect.

“[Ele] He has had a long and busy musical career with Battlezone and Killers, as well as numerous solo recordings and special appearances. Despite having faced serious health issues in recent years, which have prevented him from performing in a wheelchair, Paul has continued to entertain his fans around the world, performing over 100 shows as of 2023,” described the independent record label.

Paul Di’Anno released his first career retrospective album, “The Book of the Beast,” in September of this year. On the album, he introduced fans to songs that had been recorded since he left Iron Maiden.
