Diddy case: the rapper’s children denounce their father’s arrest

Singer has been in prison since September on sex abuse and trafficking charges and faces trial in 2025

The children of Sean “Diddy” Combs spoke out after new lawsuits against the rapper. In a joint statement posted on social media, they defended their father, who has been in prison since September on sex abuse and trafficking charges.

The singer is the father of Quincy Brown, 33, Justin, 30, Christian, 26, Chance, 18, Jessie and D’Lila Combs, 17, and Love, 2. The accused’s six eldest children signed the statement. The photo posted by the family shows all of Diddy’s children, as well as Dana Tran, Love’s mother, and Janice Combs, his mother.

“The last month has devastated our family. Many have judged him and us based on allegations, conspiracy theories and false narratives that have grown absurd on social media,” the statement read.

The statement said all the children remain united and support their father every step of the way. “We hold on to the truth, knowing that it will prevail and nothing will break the strength of our family. We miss and love you, Dad.”

The music mogul was arrested on September 16, accused of sex trafficking and extortion, among other crimes. Combs has pleaded not guilty and continues to deny all charges. The rapper awaits trial, scheduled for May 5, 2025, in a detention center in New York. Bail was denied.

Since his arrest, new waves of cases against Combs have emerged. Earlier in the month it was announced that Diddy was set to do so handle cases of over 120 accusers. Tony Buzbee, the victims’ lawyer, told the press that men and women have been accusing the musician of sex crimes since 1991; some involve minors.

Shortly thereafter, on the 14th, six new allegations of abuse dating back to the mid-1990s emerged, including the alleged sexual abuse of a boy who was 16 at the time.

Buzbee also said that several companies and other big names in the North American entertainment industry were aware of the rapper’s crimes, but that they profited by not saying anything. This also appears in the trial reports.

In the 2000s, Diddy was known for hosting parties attended by celebrities and powerful industry figures. Among these events were so-called ‘freak-offs’, fueled by alcohol and drugs, which lasted for days in luxury hotels. The US government has described these parties as “sex marathons”.
