After the release of her new album, Gracie Abrams is consolidating herself as one of the most influential artists of the new generation
Gracie Abramsborn on September 7, 1999, in Los Angeles, Californiais a pop singer and songwriter who is quickly gaining prominence on the international music scene. Since the release of their debut EP, minorin 2020, Gracie has stood out. The EP was followed by the success of his second work, This Is What It Feels Likereleased in October 2021, which solidified his presence on the music scene. In February 2023, Gracie released her debut album, Good Riddancewhich received praise from critics and audiences.
In June 2024, Gracie released her latest album, The Secret of Usresponsible for presenting the singer to the public. The album features a variety of tracks that have been well received, notably Usa collaboration with Taylor Swiftand other songs like Close to You and I Love You, I’m Sorry.
Since she was little, Gracie has been passionate about music and plays different instruments, such as acoustic guitar, electric guitar and piano. She started writing as a teenager as a way of letting her feelings out.
At the age of 15, the young woman began sharing videos of herself singing on social media – covers or her own productions. It wasn’t until 2019, at age 20, that Abrams released her first single, Mean Itwith a record label, Interscope Recordswho has worked with artists such as Eminem, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Maroon 5 and more.
In addition to her success with albums and singles, Gracie has also been known for her live performances. She opened the shows on the tour The Eras Tour of Taylor Swift and the tour Sour of Olivia Rodrigo, experiences that not only increased his visibility but also showcased his talent to larger audiences. His skill as a live performer is complemented by his recent nomination for Grammy for Best New Artist in 2024.
Abrams and Rodrigo met online. In an interview with Interview Magazinethe singer who starred in the series High School Musical: The Disney Musical said that Minorinspired her in the song that gave her global fame, driver’s license.
After spending two years as an opening act on other singers’ tours, Gracie began her own tour with The Secret of Us in September and will pass through the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and several countries in Europe, with confirmed dates until 2025.
