Kate Bush’s video for “Running Up That Hill” surpassed 100 million views on YouTube this weekend, fueled by the song’s inclusion in season 4 of “Stranger Things”.
Since “Stranger Things 4” debuted, Bush’s music video views for “Running Up That Hill” have more than doubled, as it had 48.2 million views on the platform in May.
The song plays an important and literally life-saving role in the plot of the Netflix attraction, which led to a rediscovery, 37 years after its initial release, and Kate Bush’s first US Top 10 hit in her entire career.
“Running Up That Hill” was the lead single from the 1985 album “Hounds of Love”. The music video, directed by David Garfath, features an interpretive dance that Bush performs with dancer Michael Hervieu.
