Brazilian radio stations ban Diddy’s music after arrest

The song “Last Night” will be vetoed to avoid possible complaints from listeners

Avoid confusion

The song “Last Night”, considered one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ major hits, has been banned from at least three Brazilian radio stations due to the sex scandals that landed the rapper in prison. The information comes from columnist Gabriel Vaquer, of Folha de S. Paulo.

According to the publication, São Paulo radio stations Jovem Pan (FM 100.9), Metropolitana (FM 98.5) and Mix (FM 106.3) instructed their announcers to avoid playing the song on the program to avoid possible complaints from listeners. The measure was requested due to the high frequency of playback on pop radio. It is not yet clear whether other companies will adopt the veto.

End of the race?

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been in prison since September 16 on charges of sexual abuse, sex trafficking, extortion and other crimes. The rapper has already amassed more than 120 reports of men and women attending his lavish parties. He has already been denied habeas corpus and is awaiting trial.

“Last Night” was released by Diddy in collaboration with singer Keyshia Cole, in 2007. The song has remained relevant since its debut, even winning a performance at last year’s VMAs. On Spotify alone the song has more than 149 million streams.
