Friendship is born with music
In 2005, in the city of Itumbiara, in the south of the state of Goiás, young people Jorge Alves Barcelós AND Mateus Pedro Liduário de Oliveira They performed for the first time as a duo at a barbecue at a mutual friend’s house. At the time, they didn’t imagine that their love of country music would fuel a partnership that has now reached 20 years, filled with so much success and companionship.
“It’s been 2 decades of togetherness! We are two people who form a couple and who have a basis, which becomes stronger and stronger because there is this connection between us.“, the musicians comment on their journey side by side.
Music, according to them, is one of the connecting links that keep the duo’s thoughts and paths aligned: “We love music, but also creation, rhythms, composition, production. It is this shell, where there are equalities and differences, that keeps us connected and united“, they say.
New phase
The artists take advantage of the end of 2024 to release the album Check in and warm up the fans for the celebrations of 2025, the year that effectively marks the 20 years of Jorge & Mateus’ history. The project was made available on Thursday 7th and has 11 songs, seven of which are unreleased.
“We are happy with the final result, with this fruit that we planted with so much dedication and care. We hope our fans appreciate and appreciate it. This harvest, for us, will be satisfying. And this will be our Check-in for a new phase“, they celebrate.
In addition to taking advantage of the collaboration between them, Jorge & Mateus also bring, with the new project, two ventures with the singer Laurana Prado – the songs It hurts AND There will be signs – and one with the duo Enrico and Giulianoin music Xoneiwhich were released shortly before the album.
