The list is dominated by Charli XCX, Justice and Four Tet
THE Recording Academy revealed, last Friday (08), the candidates for the Grammy Awards 2025. This year, the academy has chosen to honor a number of artists from the EDM scene with nominations in its four dance music categories.
The categories of Grandmother were presented by the singer Kylie Minogueduring the reveal ceremony broadcast live on the Internet. The Australian was chosen because the best one won Pop dance music at last year’s Grammy Awards. This category was unprecedented at the time, making the singer the first winner of the award.
Electronic music artists with the most nominations in the genre include the group Justicewho were nominated for Best Song and Best Electronic Album, with their single “Endless“, and the album”Hyperdrama“. Besides them, Four Tet also received two nominations, the first for the album “You“and second on track”Beloved“.
However, no one was able to compete, in terms of number of applications, with the proponent of BratSummer, Charli XCX. The British singer, who received a total of 7 nominations at this year’s Grammy Awards, was nominated in three electronic music categories: Best Electronic Music Album, with “Snotlout“; Best Electronic Music, with “Von Dutch“; And best Remix of a song, with the remix of “Von Dutch” performed by AG Cook.

For the best electronic music albums of the year, the academy nominated for the Grammy Awards”Three“, from Four Tet; “Hyperdrama“, from Justice; “Telos“, from Zedd; “Snotlout“, from Charli XCX; AND “TIMELESS” by Kaytranada. For the Best Electronic Pop Song category, they were nominated “Von Dutch“, by Charli XCX; “Make you mine“, from Madison Beer; “Yes, and“, from Arianna Grande; “It got me started“, from Troye Sivan; AND “L’amour De Ma Vie (Now Extended Edit)“, from Billie Eilish.
At the conclusion of the electronic music categories, the academy named the song “Von Dutch AG Cook Remix with Addin Ross“, by Charlie XCX; “Alter Ego – Kaytranada Remix“, from Doechii and Kaytranada; “Jaah sees them – Amapiano Remix“, from Julian Marley AND Antaeus; “Espresso – Mark Ronson x FNZ Working Late Remix” from Sabrina Carpentiere; AND “A remix of a (drunk) bar song.” from Shaboozey AND Davide Guetta.
