The music producer died on November 3 at the age of 91
Quincy Jones received a Oscar honorarium for Hollywood Film Academy during a gala ceremony on Sunday 17. He died at the age of 91 on 3 November.
The music producer has built a career that has spanned more than 70 years. At the 43rd Academy Awards in 1972, he served as musical director and conductor.
The award was accepted by the artist’s children while a group of singers paid tribute to Jones in a musical performance featuring images of the producer.
Rashida Jones, one of Quincy’s daughters, read a speech prepared by her father for the awards ceremony.
“I share this award and tonight’s honor with all the incredible directors, legendary actors and, of course, exceptional composers and musicians.”
