The singer revealed that she wanted to make Something Beautiful “a The Wall with better clothes, more glamor and full of pop culture”
Miley Cyrus has shared news about what his next studio album is expected to be. The work even has a definite title: Something beautiful. The launch is expected to take place in 2025, with no specific date yet set.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the singer revealed this Something beautiful it’s supposed to be a visual album – and it surprised me when I compared it to the Pink Floyd. More specifically, with one of his most appreciated works, The Wallsince 1979.
Cyrus is a fan of the album responsible for showcasing classics such as “Another Brick in the Wall” AND “Comfortably Numb”but the parallel drawn is with the film also titled The Wallmade available in 1982. The artist revealed that he first saw the film as a teenager with one of his brothers and a friend: the experience also involved renting a limousine, smoking marijuana and using 70s style fur coats.
She says:
“Us [Miley e a equipe de produção] we really accept the challenge. And so I have this heartfelt attachment to him [The Wall]. My idea was to do it The Wallbut with better clothes, more glamorous and full of pop culture.”
We like the voice of the successes “Flowers” AND “Wrecking ball” also described Something beautiful as “mesmerizing” and called it “a concept album that is an attempt to heal a rather unhealthy culture through music”. Regarding the visual aspect, he stated:
“It was important to me that each song had these healing sonic properties. The songs, whether they talk about destruction, heartbreak or death, are presented in a beautiful way, because the most unpleasant moments in our lives have a point of beauty. They are the ‘shadow, I’m the charcoal, I’m the shading. You can’t have a painting without lights and contrast.”

Always during the interview Miley Cyrus revealed who is working with her on Something Beautiful. The Canadian Shawn Everett (The assassins, Alabama Smoothies, The war on drugs etc) signs the musical production, while the Italian-Canadian one Cosmatos Clothsdirector known for his films Beyond the black rainbow (2012) e Mandy (2018), is in charge of directing the visual work.
Both are enthusiastic about the project. Cosmatos he described the record as “more experimental than anything else done by Mileybut in a pop way”. In turn, Everett commented that working with Cyrus is “It’s like I’ve known her for a long time”.
Max Morandothe pop star’s boyfriend, is also responsible for producing several songs on the album. The American is the band’s drummer Lily and worked on his beloved’s previous album, Endless summer holidays (2023).
The singer’s previous album was quite successful: it reached 3rd place in the American charts and reached the top in nine other countries, such as the United Kingdom, Australia and Portugal. “Flowers”the biggest hit, it reached number one on the charts in 41 countries and won awards Grandmother From Record of the year AND Best Pop Solo Performance at the beginning of the year.
Since then, however, the artist has remained somewhat quiet. Among his latest activities, he participated in songs by Pharrell Williams (“Doctor (Solve It)”) AND Beyoncé (“Most Wanted”), re-recorded “Psycho-assassin” (Talking heads) for the tribute album Everyone’s in it: a tribute to Talking Heads’ ceasing to make sense and re-recorded “Wrecking ball” with Dolly Parton.
