Smith/Kotzen — “White Noise”: The duo formed by guitarists and vocalists Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden) and Richie Kotzen (The Winery DogsformerPoisonformerMr Big) is back with another new album. Black Light/White Noise goes public on March 7, 2025, but we already have the first preview: “White Noise”. The song got a music video featuring two Brazilians: the drummer Bruno Valverde (Angra) and the bassist Julia Lage (Vixen), wife of Kotzen which actually plays in the song and four others on the album. The involvement of Valverde with the recordings was not detailed, but he and Lage they also toured with the project captains. Opeth — “§4”: After a shift towards progressive rock in the last two decades, the Opeth returned to work on death metal influences on his new album, The Last Will and Testamentreleased this Friday (22). “§4” is one of the highlights of the material, as it ranges from the guttural vocals of Mikael Åkerfeldt to a flute solo recorded by none other than Ian Andersonfrontman of Jethro Tull. Architects — “Whiplash”: Contemporary metalcore giants, Architects release their next album on February 28th, The Sky, The Earth & All Between. The first single, “Whiplash”has production of Jordan Fishkeyboardist recently left Bring Me the Horizon. With an urgent feel, the song discusses, according to a statement, “tribalism and an ever-deepening gulf between human beings based on beliefs and opinions”. Body Count — “Merciless”: The new album from Body Count, Merciless. The eighth album from the legendary rap metal group led by Ice-T and Ernie C surprises in terms of participation: it goes from David Gilmour in a re-recording of “Comfortably Numb” (Pink Floyd) to Brazilian Max Cavalera (SoulflyformerGrave) in “Drug Lords”. Three Days Grace — “Mayday”: Weeks ago, the Three Days Grace surprised the public by announcing the return of the original vocalist Adam Gontier without dismissing his replacement since 2013, Matt Walst. Now, the Canadian group with a post-grunge sound brings two singers and such dynamics can be noticed in the single “Mayday”an alternative hard rock with affable melodies and a fun music video that takes place inside an airplane. Landfall – “Running in Circles”: Although it is Brazilian — it was founded in Curitiba —, the Landfall has lyrics in English, is linked to the Italian record label Frontiers Music Srl and, in addition to her homeland and São Paulo, there are cities in Sweden (Stockholm, Malmö and Gothenburg) among the regions that listen to her most on Spotify.
