From Zero reached number one on the charts in ten countries; in American territory, it obtained second place
Tastes aside, it is impossible to deny that the return of LinkinPark was one of the most important music events in 2024. The band resumed its activities with the vocalist Emily Armstrong and the drummer Colin Brittain in vacancies Chester Bennington and Rob Bourdonrespectively.

This is because, with the large-scale use of digital formats, counting is done differently: to count a “unit”, it is necessary to have a physical copy, 10 paid music downloads or 1,500 streams of tracks.
And who took first place in the USA? THE Ateeza South Korean K-pop group that released their sixth EP, Golden Hour: Part.2on the same day that Linkin Park made their work available. The set sold 184 thousand album-equivalent units — 179 thousand physical copies and the remainder destined for digital formats, in the same scheme explained above. More than double in both criteria, which shows the size of the phenomenon composed of Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung and Jongho.

Even though it didn’t reach first place in the United States, From Zero was the rock album that reached the highest position on the general national charts in 2024. The last time an album of this style reached the top of the ranking was in November last year, with One More Time…from Blink-182.
Furthermore — and as already highlighted — Linkin Park’s new work reached first place in ten countries. Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong preferred to look at the “glass half full” by publishing, on social networks, a video celebrating the top of the list in the United Kingdom, another very important market.
Armstrong, who came from a much smaller band — the Dead Sara —, he highlighted in the footage how that had been his “first first place”. “Thank you so much, dammit. This is surreal.
