Ivete Sangalo confirmed on Wednesday (27/11) that he will continue with Bloco Coruja, one of the most famous electric trios in Salvador, at Carnival 2025. In the last parade, the electric trio had serious technical problems on the avenue and was the target of criticism from Bahian revelers and became the cause of legal proceedings.
The news was announced on Instagram with a video that collects special moments from the latest editions of Coruja. The singer has been head of the Salvador bloc since 2002 and has no intention of saying goodbye to the celebrations. The parade will take place on March 1st and 3rd, on the Barra-Ondina circuit. The sale of abadás will be available from this Thursday (28/11).

This year the Bloco Coruja experienced extreme situations with Veveta on the Barra-Ondina circuit, in Salvador. The electric trio nearly collapsed due to overcrowding of partygoers and even left two people injured after a carbon dioxide (CO2) explosion. The singer thought about giving up performing, but soon changed her mind thanks to the affection of her fans. Despite this, she was reported by another fan, who was also injured during the event.
Trial for moral damages
In October this year, the Special Civil Court of the Oceanic Region of Niterói acquitted Ivete Sangalo in the case brought by a Rio reveler, who was trapped with his wife between the rope and the support car of the carnival block due to the excessive concentration of people from other countries.
At the time the victims suffered several bruises, but the magistrate did not condemn Veveta for the extreme situation. The court ordered the conviction only of the Bahian company Pau D’Arco Produções e Eventos, responsible for Bloco Coruja. According to the decision, the company should pay the birthday boy compensation of R$ 3,000 for moral damages.
