Event at Parque Ibirapuera, in São Paulo, reaches its 12th edition with a double performance by the American band; other attractions are yet to be announced
The organization of Best of Blues and Rock began confirming details of its 12th edition. Dave Matthews Band is the first attraction announced for the festival, which takes place on June 7th and 8th, 2025, in the external audience of the Ibirapuera Auditorium, in São Paulo.
Other artists will be announced soon, but it is already known that the band led by Dave Matthews will perform on both days of the event. The proposal is that there will be different shows, without repeating the setlist.
Formed in 1991 in the American city of Charlottesville, Virginia, the Dave Matthews Band counts Matthews on vocals and guitar, as well as the founders Stefan Lessard (low) and Carter Beauford (battery), Rashawn Ross (trumpet), Jeff Coffin (saxophone), Tim Reynolds (guitar) and Buddy Strong (keyboards). It sold more than 35 million copies and 25 million tickets, and has been on the charts since last October. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Tickets for the Best of Blues and Rock 2025 will be available soon on Eventim’s official website. More information will be released on the festival’s official channels. It was revealed, however, that on December 2nd there will be a pre-sale for the Dave Matthews Band fan club, with tickets starting at R$300 (half).
In previous editions, the event featured Buddy Guy, George Benson, Richie Sambora, Jeff Beck, Joe Satriani, Joe Bonamassa, Eric Gales, Jamie Cullum, Joss Stone, Jimmie Vaughan, Tom Morello, Steve Vai, Joe Perry, Zakk Wylde, Charlie Musselwhite, Keb’Mo’, Ben Harper, Extreme, Goo Goo Dolls, Kenny Wayne Shepherdbetween others; and national artists such as Andreas Kisser, Irmandade do Blues, Igor Prado, Ira!, Artur Menezes, Ari Borger, Di Ferrero, Vitor Kley, Nanda Moura, Malvada, Day Limns, Cacá Magalhães, Francisco el Hombre, Orquestra Jazz Sinfônica, Yohan Kisser, Lan Lanh and others.
