The musicians took to their social networks to release a statement about what happened and the cancellation of the show

A van carrying members of the CPM 22 band was robbed while traveling along the Linha Amarela, a highway that connects the western and northern areas of Rio de Janeiro, on Saturday night the 30th.

The São Paulo band was scheduled to perform at the “Rock na Ilha” event, held on Ilha do Itanhangá, in Barra da Tijuca. The show, scheduled for 8pm, has been cancelled.

The musicians took to their social media to release a statement about the incident and the cancellation of the show, reassuring fans that everyone is safe.

“Guys, everything is fine with us. Unfortunately they robbed the van that was taking us to the Rock na Ilha show today in Rio de Janeiro and there was no way to go on. But don’t worry, we’re fine” , they wrote.

THE Earth contacted the musicians’ press office and the Military Police for more details on the incident, but did not receive a response until the last update of this report.
