Ludmilla replaces Doechii at the Afropunk Experience in Sao Paulo

The Brazilian singer takes the place of the American rapper, who canceled his performance at the black culture festival

Change of formation

Doechii will no longer perform at the Afropunk Experience. The organizers of the event announced Ludmilla as a replacement, after the cancellation of the American rapper’s show. The presentation will take place on December 14 at Parque Villa-Lobos, in Sao Paulo.

Music programming

The São Paulo edition of the festival, in a compact format, will bring together five presentations. Ludmilla will share the stage with Anelis Assumpção, performing the album “Legalize It” by Peter Tosh, Rachel Reis, Yago Oproprio and Ghanaian-American singer Amaarae, who debuts in Brazil.

Cultural celebration

Ludmilla returns to Afropunk after participating in the 2023 edition in Salvador. This time it promises a special show aimed at celebrating Afro-diasporic culture.

Afropunk Brasil provided a channel for refunds or credits to fans affected by Doechii’s cancellation. Instructions are available on the Sympla website.
