Ivete Sangalo apologizes to Ludmilla after forgetting her at the Multishow Awards

The singer forgot to thank Ludmilla on stage and took to social media.

Ivete Sangalo, one of the biggest names in Brazilian music, had a moment of distraction during the 2024 Multishow Awards, held on Tuesday evening (3).

With the song the 52-year-old singer won in the Axé/Pagodão of the year category Macedinga partnership with Ludmilla. However, during his acceptance speech on stage, Ivete forgot to mention his colleague’s name.

While still at the event, Ivete recorded a video on her social media holding the trophy and apologized for forgetting it. “I didn’t thank Ludmilla. Ludmilla, I love you. My God, I was nervous and didn’t thank Lud. Thank you for this beautiful collaboration”declared the singer, visibly disconcerted.

Later, as she left the place, she spoke again about what had happened: “I won’t lie that I was very devastated because I didn’t say Ludmilla’s name at that time. This is driving me crazy. Lud, you are my love, and that’s the most important thing.”

In addition to the public demonstrations, Ivete wanted to speak directly with Ludmilla to strengthen his apology. He shared a screenshot of a video call between the two, where it was clear that Ludmilla was not offended. “I love you, my goodness,” the funk singer responded, proving that the incident hasn’t affected their friendship.
