Anitta releases “Ensaios de Anitta”, her new album in Portuguese

The new album features new collaborations with Ivete Sangalo, Simone Mendes, Livinho and Rogerinho

Carnival warm-up

Anitta released her new album “Ensaios de Anitta” on Thursday (12/5), in allusion to the Carnival rehearsals that she promotes every year. In January the singer should release the audiovisual part of the project, with video clips of the new songs from the album.

The album’s repertoire consists of 12 songs, nine of which are new and four re-recordings of hits such as “Menina Má” and “Eu Vou Ficar”. New features include new collaborations with Brazilian artists from different musical genres, such as Ivete Sangalo, Rogerinho and Simone Mendes.

“I wanted to do something similar to my Carnival rehearsals. What is that frenetic miscellany, right? And from there the idea was born to bring an album with new songs only in Portuguese. It was designed for our Carnival, which is such a beautiful and unique party in the world”, explained Anitta.

Repercussion

Among the new songs, only one had a strong impact on social media, “Chata pra Caralh*”, the first in which Anitta appears singing alone in the album’s tracklist. The fun track brings out a rant on gossipers and envious people with a new electronic beat from “Alala” (2005), by CSS.

“Ensaios de Anitta” comes shortly after the release of “Funk Generation”, an album dedicated to Brazilian funk with different rhythmic nuances. The project took over international dance floors, amassing more than 44 million streams in its debut week and was even nominated for a Grammy Awards.
