The country duo clarifies the reasons for their separation and guarantees that it will not be the end.
The renowned country duo Jorge and Mateus, icons of Brazilian music, revealed last Monday (9) a clear change in their trajectory. After the 20th anniversary tour, scheduled for 2025, the artists plan to take an indefinite break from performing.
The tour, scheduled to start in April 2025, promises to bring together fans from all over Brazil in big shows in capitals, such as Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Belém and Manaus.
Tickets will be on sale in exclusive presale from 12 December, through the Sicoob system. The news has caused a stir among admirers, who are already wondering whether this breakup will mean the end of the duo’s career.
Jorge and Mateus: Rest and renewal without separation
In an interview with journalist André Piunti, Jorge and Mateus explained that the time away is necessary to rest and revitalize energy. “It’s been an intense 20 years, every weekend away from home. We want to dedicate ourselves to our families and live new experiences,” said Mateus.
Jorge stressed that the temporary separation is an opportunity to renew his inspiration and continue his musical journey in the future. “We want to tell this story for longer and for this it is essential to recharge our energies.”
The singers denied the separation rumors, stating that the breakup was strategic and that they would continue together. “People speculate a lot, but it’s not true. We just take time to prioritize the personal.”
Fans can rest assured: Jorge and Mateus guarantee that this break is just a new phase in their successful journey.
