The band had already canceled a performance at a festival in September
The band Foo Fighters canceled the tour that would take place next year, in 2025, according to the founder and director of Hellfest, Ben Barbaud.

Yesterday, the Hellfest – France’s biggest music festival – has announced its lineup for next year’s edition. The main attractions of the four-day event will be Muse, Linkin Park, KoRn and Scorpions. During an interview with the vehicle Le ParisienBarbaud was asked about signing Muse.
They [MUSE] they were offered to me on a platter. A month ago, I was offered to program them together with other European festivals. I accepted because I was missing a main attraction for Friday and because the Hellfest audience is increasingly open. With age, I also matured.
Foo Fighters were the main attraction at this year’s Hellfest alongside Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold and Machine Headfollowing their UK tour in 2024.
Subsequently, the band canceled a scheduled show at Soundside Music Festivalan event that would take place in Connecticuton September 28th.
In September, vocalist Dave Grohl revealed that he had become the father of a daughter born out of wedlock: “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
The announcement was made through a post on Instagram:
I recently became a father to a new daughter, born out of wedlock. I intend to be a loving and supportive father to her.
We are grateful for all of your consideration of the children involved as we move forward.
A source told the The Sun that the singer and guitarist wants to stay off the road at the moment “to regain the family’s trust” .
The band needs time to spend with their families and focus on getting back together. It’s been a turbulent few years, with the loss of best friend, drummer Taylor Hawkins, the death of Dave’s mother and now the birth of his new son. He wants to stay at home and focus on regaining his family’s trust. Being on the road isn’t the best thing for either of them right now. It seems like a hiatus is the best thing to do collectively.
Dave Grohl is married to Jordyn Blum since 2003. They have three daughters – Violet, Harper and the youngest Ophelia.
