The rapper did not attend the event, but offered to reward the contestants
A pastry shop was surprised by Drake last weekend. Toronto, Canada-based Casuals Cakery held a rapper lookalike contest.
The winner would receive a bottle of Hennessy cognac and a pack of cigarettes. The publications about the competition, however, attracted the attention of Drakewho contacted Casuals Cakery.
The musician offered the contest winner ten thousand Canadian dollars, according to a message sent to the bakery. The establishment shared the direct message on Instagram, in which it said: “Just give me a minute to stop hyperventilating right now… I can’t believe this is your account and that you know it. God, you I love.”
According to the NMEa group of contestants won the competition. Therefore, they will have to share the prize.
Other competitions
Lookalike contests gained traction in October when one of Timothée Chalamet he was promoted to New York. The actor was present at the event and even offered to pay the fine sent to the organizer.
