impractical pranksters obviously looked a little different when it returned to truTV for the remainder of season 9, with longtime star Joe Gatto having left the series in late 2021 . Luckily the trio of Brian Quinn, James Murray and Sal Vulcano chose to move forward with new episodes present a group of fun-loving artists from AEW superstar Chris Jericho to our current topic of conversation, development stopped Yes Genius veterinarian David Cross. the recent station eleven applicant is the latest star invited to be part of the impractical pranksters extended family and talked to Gossipify about how much fun he enjoyed spending time with the kids, even though it wasn’t a joke-related show.
When I asked David Cross how impractical pranksters arriving there, he noticed he wasn’t a spectator before he was offered the opportunity, but he quickly understood and appreciated the show’s center hook. In his words:
Well, I knew about the show, but I had never seen it. But, you know, there are advertisements everywhere, and I knew it. But then I opened my email and there was an email from my agent about this offer. And they had, like, four examples, video clips to prove it. And initially, it was like I wasn’t a huge fan of these joke shows, but then, looking at the videos, I realized, “Oh, they don’t mess with innocent people.” They just play with each other, “and it quickly became very engaging. And it was fun. These guys are fun and it was bold enough to be dangerous. [Laughs.] I loved it and just wanted to see it more and more. I thought he was pretty smart, the things they came up with to get between them. And they seem like quiet, laid-back guys who don’t take themselves too seriously.
I can totally understand where David Cross comes from, as I also have a rather limited palate when it comes to prankster chasing shows that make normal people look completely stupid. (Even with that said, I could definitely see scary tactic repeatedly for days on end). But while things can get a little hot and adult-oriented, as seen in the clip below, impractical pranksters fans know the fun is more in watching these mildly sadistic friends enjoying the wide variety of ways they can make others look and feel downright foolish, sometimes while putting gross things in their mouths. In any case, David Cross considered his impractical pranksters the appearance was a kind of joyful oasis, saying:
So I said yes, and I did, and I had a lot of fun. You know, it’s been a tough year … sort of. [Laughs.] It was a good break, a short respite and lots of laughs, so I really enjoyed it.
Knowing David Cross is half the top level mr show creative duo together Bob Odenkirk, current Emmy nominee , I asked him if he was aware of the departure of Joe Gatto and what he thought of taking the place of the fourth member of the company in the place of another. According to Cruz:
I found out after doing some research, but I mean, I didn’t see it that way. I just saw him come in and do exactly what you saw. Just enjoy being able to play and have fun with a group of people in a controlled environment. he was nice
I feel the world would be a better place if everyone had more opportunities to have fun with other people without worrying about anything else. Which does not mean that the impractical pranksters the stars should walk away with no worries, given what James Murray has to do with David Cross’s excellent lead segment.
