MusicBruce Dickinson’s excited promise about Iron Maiden’s next tour

English band will celebrate their 50 years of activity in 2025 with the Run for Your Lives themed tour, playing songs from their first 9 albums

The new year also represents a “turning point” for the Iron Maiden. At the end of 2024, the band concluded — with two shows in Brazil — the tour The Future Pastfocused on albums Senjutsu (2021) and Somewhere in Time (1986). In 2025, more specifically from May onwards, the Run for Your Livesan excursion that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the group’s founding.

The upcoming tour also marks the first occasion in decades that Maiden will perform without Nicko McBrain. The drummer, a member since 1982, stepped away from road activities and will be replaced by simon dawson (British Lion, TheOutfield etc).

Bruce Dickinson He’s excited about what’s to come. In a video celebrating the transition of the year (via Igor Miranda website), the vocalist celebrated the next phase of Maiden and even made a promise. Initially, he stated:

“2025 will be something special. Honestly, we’re investing a lot in the tour. Not that I need to tell anyone, because the tour is basically already sold out. So for those of you who bought tickets, which is like all of you, it’s going to be really, really cool. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Then, Dickinson stated that the public will have “new things” on the next tour. The comment implied that it was the repertoire, described as “memorable”.

We’ll do things we’ve never done before and it will be a memorable setlist. So, see you there. And it’s not going to stop in 2025. It’s going to continue in 2026 because there are parts of the world that we need to visit that we can’t visit in 2025. So there you have it.”

It is worth highlighting that the Run for Your Lives will have a themed setlist, focused on Iron Maiden’s first nine albums. In other words: they will only play songs that were released between their debut album of the same name, from 1980, and Fear of the Dark1992.
