Band will perform at Peruvian festival in March, but return to the largest South American country should take place at another time
Last September, the Avenged Sevenfold ended a period of 10 years without coming to Brazil. The band performed as the main attraction of the only “rock day” of the Rock in Rio 2024next to Evanescence, Deep Purple, Journeybetween others.
It was the only show by the North American group during their visit to South America. Apparently, however, 2025 will be marked by two trips to the continent.
On March 29th, the Vivo x el Rock event, in Lima, Peru, will have Avenged Sevenfold as headliner. Anthrax, Marilyn Manson, The Hives, Capital Cities, Smash Mouth and Deadly Apples are also cast. It should also be another exclusive visit to the festival, but preceding a more comprehensive tour scheduled for the second half of the year.
A7X’s own vocalist, M. Shadowssaid that Brazil is on the group’s agenda for 2025. In interaction on the Discord platform (via Avenged Sevenfold Subtitled), a fan asked if the group would actually perform here. In response, the singer said:
“Brazil is on our 2025 agenda. Don’t be afraid.”
On the same network, another admirer asked the musicians to hold an autograph session upon their return to the country. Shadows declared that the initiative will be exclusive to fan club members Deathbats Clubaimed at those who purchased NFTs (non-fungible cryptographic tokens) from the band.
“We will have meetings with members. These events are complicated. In Indonesia, we tried, but ended up feeling bad about leaving the party so early. Unfortunately, there were so many people that we couldn’t interact with all of them or arrive days early (which already involves hotel costs for the band and crew). It’s very difficult to make travel events work properly without having to spend a fortune.”
On the Rock in Rio stage, the frontman had already indicated the possibility of returning soon. Check it out in the video below.

Avenged Sevenfold in Brazil
It is not the first time that M. Shadows has indicated a new visit to Brazil for 2025. Also through Discord, months ago (via Igor Miranda website), the singer said that the idea was to promote a tour through several countries in South America.
In an interview with Poplinebefore the show at Rock in Rio, Shadows declared:
“There’s definitely a chance for us to come back, it’s obviously on our radar. We really want to do this, so it’s a ‘yes’. But we don’t have any set dates yet, I’m worried about saying yes now and it not becoming reality. But this is something that is at the top of our list.”
