According to an American news site, the director committed suicide
Jeff Baenadirector and screenwriter, has died at age 47, the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office confirmed. His body was found last Friday, the 3rd, around 10.30 am by an assistant in a house in Los Angeles.
According to the TMZ (go People), the actress’s husband Aubrey Square he committed suicide, authorities reported.
The director was born in Miami and studied at New York University. After graduation he moved to Los Angeles, where he began his career.
Baena he gained notoriety for co-writing the film Huckabees – Life is a comedy (2004), starring Jason Schwartzmann, Jude Law AND Naomi Watts. In 2014 he made his directorial debut in Life after Bethwith plaza in the cast.
Seven years later, he created the anthology series Cheers to the cinemashown on Showtime, which celebrated the premiere of plaza as director. The two began their relationship in 2011 and, ten years later, got married, keeping their romance private.
